Amanda Barbur, Au.D., CCC-A

Audiologist

As an audiologist with lifelong hearing loss, I’m uniquely suited to help my patients on their better-hearing journey. I understand the challenges, the frustrations, and the hesitation to even try out technology — I, too, avoided hearing aids! In fact, it was MaryAnn who convinced me to try my first devices when I worked part-time at the front desk for her in college. It’s my firsthand experiences with my own hearing loss that helps people relax and open up about their own experiences.

I earned my doctorate in audiology in 2012 from the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium, I’m a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and I’m certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

I am a nature girl at heart. I love to be outdoors, especially walking the local hiking trails. Throw some deer, birds, and squirrels into the mix and I am one happy camper! I also enjoy spending time with my husband, James, and 2-year-old son, Colton, who is always on the move and keeps us entertained constantly.
